Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to take up construction of double bedroom flats for the weaker sections in the civic body limits through an innovative scheme, said GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy.
400 double bedrooms in each circle are being planned and the construction of about 10,000 2BHK flats is being fixed as the GHMC’s target.
The Commissioner said that 2BHK flats would be constructed in identified slums by involving various NGOs.
GHMC would take people’s feedback on the status of drinking water, drainage, electricity, parking and other civic related facilities in their areas.
